Join the North Texas Mycological Association May 7th from 10-12 pm as we explore Gateway Park in Ft Worth, Texas. We will be looking for and collecting fungi to bring back to a central location afterwards to discuss and identify. We will be covering the specific ecological roles that each species may have and talking about their potential edibility, medicinal or toxic properties.
Please be sure to wear proper clothing, some water and something to carry mushrooms in! We ask that you arrive 15 minutes early to sign in and register. This event is free for EVERYONE.
Please be sure to join our iNaturalist project and upload all photos of fungi you find so we can keep track of what we see and understand the biodiversity located in the North Texas region!
