Description
Join the North Texas Mycological Association on Sunday, September 17th, from 10am to 12pm as we explore Cross Timbers South in Denton, Texas! We will be looking for and collecting all fungi to bring back to a central location to discuss and identify. During the foray, we will be exploring the different ecological roles that fungi have in our ecosystem, talking about their potential edibility, medicinal or toxic properties, along with any potential symbiotic relationship with plants or trees!
Please be sure to wear proper clothing, bring some water as well as something to carry mushrooms with! We ask that you arrive 15 minutes early to sign in and register. This event is free for members and $10/per person for non-members.
Also, please be sure to join our iNaturalist project and upload all photos of fungi you find so we can keep track of the fungal biodiversity located in the North Texas region!
