The emphasis of this class is to teach people how to use the micro-tubes from our culture bank we pass out each month at our events. This workshop will cover everything you need to know from start to finish on how to cultivate fungi from the micro-tubes we hand out on a monthly basis.

The North Texas Mycological Association is hosting a comprehensive workshop that covers all aspects of cultivation! As some of you may know we have our own fungi culture bank that consists of 25 species in which we pass out colonized micro-tubes each month. Pran Kerdkrung is the head of that project, he is our Myco-Culture Specialist, and will be teaching this class and sharing his knowledge with all of us.

We had overwhelming requests to offer a class on cultivation with an emphasis on using these colonized micro-tubes of agar so we can demonstrate the process. Our goal is to get the community more involved in cultivation, we hand out free species each month to members so you can go home and try your hand at cultivation, which is our gift to you 🙂
