North Texas Mycological Association is returning to the worst hit area we have visited throughout the year in terms of pollution with a goal to remove as much trash as possible with an emphasis on finding fungi at the same time. We will be providing gloves, trash bags and handing out raffle tickets for each one that is filled! We will be raffling off club merchandise like our shirts, pins and bumper stickers as well as free membership packages for this year. Towards the end of the event we will gather at a central location and discuss all of the wild mushrooms and fungi we find, identifying what we can and talking about specific ecological roles that each species may have.
